About
Chau Tran is a photographer based in Vancouver, Canada. Her work were rewarded by Embassy of Sweden in Vietnam (2019) and Professional Photographers of Canada - PPOC (2026). Born in Hanoi, Vietnam, she spent her 20s studied Social Sciences and Film Making, explored different cultures and used her artworks to promote international relations and humanity. Later, she moved to Vancouver and further refined her visual language as a professional photography student at Langara College.
Chau’s practice moves between photography and creative direction, collaborating with artists, designers, and individuals to build distinctive visual worlds. Her work is drawn to the quiet, unseen parts of being human: the selves we reveal, the selves we keep hidden, and everything in between.
Whether intimate or highly produced, her work begins with an idea and builds a world around it.
